Dr. Tami Jollie-Trottier's virtual training will provide a basic knowledge of trauma, and how its effects can last a lifetime. Dr. Jollie-Trottier will identify the cultural differences in trauma faced by Indigenous communities, and the impacts of childhood trauma on multiple aspects of health and development. The signs of childhood trauma being addressed will grant educators the ability to recognize and respond properly to trauma reactions observed in students, allowing them to support a student's recovery and resilience.
